The June 24th Playlist has been finalized and is posted at WRUW’s website. 

The show featured two parts.  In the first half, we presented a variety of showtunes from stage and screen.  In the second half, we had a guest visit.  The guest was one of our listeners, Steve Baum, who contributed during our annual on-air fundraiser.  In return for his contribution, Steve chose to get a half-hour of time on Sunday Matinee. 

Steve has been an annual guest on the show, and this was his 11th year (maybe 13th he thinks) that he has done the air-time prize. 

For his time this year, Steve chose to rebroadcast the show he presented back on July 20, 2003.  In that 2003 show, Steve had his 8-year-old nephew, Zack, interview Steve’s dad, Si, (Zack’s grandfather) about many of the theater musicals Si had seen during his long life. 

For this 2007 show, Steve chose to rebroadcast the interview with his father because Si passed away back in April of 2007.  It was a fitting tribute, for sure!
