(May 11th): The WRUW Summer Schedule is currently being finalized, but we do know that “Sunday Matinee” will continue airing on Sundays from 12 Noon to 2:00 pm on FM 91.

We do have some special editions of Sunday Matinee planned for the summer.  Here’s a tentative schedule for May, June and July.

Schedule for May 2007

May 13:  Mother’s Day show!  Songs for and about motherhood.

May 20:  Regular variety show.

May 27:  Special guest host for Memorial Day weekend.

Schedule for June 2007

June 3:  Tony Awards, Part 1.  The first week of our annual review of the Tony Award winners from 1947 to the present.

June 10:  Tony Awards, Part 2.  The second week of our Tony Awards review.  The 2007 Tony Awards show airs tonight!

June 17:  Tony Awards, Part 3.  Wrap up of our Tony Awards review, including a song or two from the 2007 winner, if we have the cast recording on hand.

June 24:  Regular variety show.

Schedule for July 2007

July 1:  Independence Show.  Continuing our annual tradition, we present a variety of patriotic musicals (including Stan Freberg’s famous song “A Man Can’t Be Too Careful What He Signs These Days), a reading of the Declaration of Independence, and the complete story and musical cast recording of 1776!

July 8:  Special guest host!

This schedule is subject to modification, but you can start planning your summer listening now!  As always, please continue to send us your comments and suggestions for show themes.

As always, thanks for reading!
