Support Musicals on the Radio!

Hi,
Our yearly pledge drive, the WRUW telethon, begins on Monday April 3rd. I know you are a supporter, listener, and/or downloader of my radio program, andI cannot ever express how grateful I am for that.
Anyway, this is the only week out of the year we ask the community for it’s support (unlike NPR or PBS), so it’s a pretty big deal. I won’t give you the big pitches for why we need cash (gear upgrades, buy music, etc), because I know you all understand the difference between commercial radio and community/college radio, and you know all the reasons we have to ask listeners for support.
So, if you could help out, it’d be great. Understand that YOU ARE UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO DO SO, and it’s cool if you’re uninterested. We can pretend none of this ever happened, sort of like that one year on the old Dallas TV show.
This year, you can make a pledge through our website at http://www.wruw.org/ and even select really cool WRUW logo stuff as a thank you for your donation. Check the website for additional information and check it often for updates and telethon information. If all has gone according to plan, you can make a donation RIGHT NOW.
Or you can just call 216.368.2208 AT ANY TIME from Monday 12:01am until midnight on Sunday April 9th. If you go the phone route, just be sure to tell the person taking the call the you are donating for Sunday Matinee.
Credit card donations are preferred so there’s no messy check writing later on, so have one of those ready when or if you call (but we will send you a pledge card reminder if you don’t want to use a credit card). But it would be really cool if you were to call during the show on Sunday, April 9th, between 12 Noon and 2:00 pm, because it feels good when that happens, dammit.
Anyway, thanks in advance for any help you can throw our way. If you have made a pledge before my show actually takes place, hopefully I can find that out and can thank you on the air.
Again, YOU ARE NOT OBLIGATED!! Thanks. Any other questions, please ask.
